Environment: Food Court

Background: Two quick serve restaurants compete for hungry visitors. They operate the same daily hours. One is a regional chain with approximately 100 locations. The other is an international chain with thousands of locations. The international chain is noticeably busier and more frequently visited than the regional chain.

Introducing Digital Menu Boards: The regional chain installed digital menu boards created by Visual Impressions in early 2010. The menu boards included clear, crisp images of the food, as well as the entire menu and pricing.

The Outcome: Within days of the installation, our client was communicating that his lines were longer than that of the national chain. After the first 90 days, we compared sales for the same time last year and determined there was an approximately 26% increase.
